Cell permeable potent and selective inhibitor of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA, IC50 ~50 nM), cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG) and protein kinase C� (PKC�). In contrast, most other protein kinase C (PKC) isotypes are much more weakly inhibited. Also inhibits ROCKII, Ca2+/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII), casein kinase I (CKI) and myosin light chain kinase (MLCK). Induces apoptosis.
